Tony Two

I've been in a conversation regarding my last post about Tony Campolo. He took a lot of flack for ministering to Bill Clinton during the whole Lewinsky thing - as did Bill Hybels of Willow Creek. Too bad that isolated them from some evangelicals. But I have found it interesting in recent years that secular media just latch onto the fact that they did what they did. I can't figure out if it is a part of the cult of personality that surrounds Bill Clinton or if, down deep inside, there is something that is telling them that if an evangelical Christian could stand by the side of a guy who did what Clinton did then maybe what I thought about the message of Jesus might be worth listening to again...for the first time.

Its worth checking out the link below where Tony Campolo was on The Hour last night. I think he does an incredible job of talking about who Jesus is to a very secular audience.

Jesus hangs out with sinners and tax collectors and even Canadians. Imagine that.
